Bienvendio, loyal reader. Come along as Bruce and Mary visit their local PV post office and do a bit more. Provecho!
Mary is talking to Anita about renting a PO Box. With our situation, two families using the same front door, we were not sure that we were getting all of our mail. One thing we do know is that we did not get the notice to pick up a large package, the bread-maker the kids sent us last year. On a hunch Mary decided to visit the PO and we picked up the bread-maker just a few days before they would have returned it back to the States!
The rent costs 300P per year and yes there are the usual paperwork requirements, bring your CFE bill and a passport. And in our case it took three visits after we were told the key was ready before it actually was… oh well. So now, about once a week Mary hops the bus and checks on our PO Box. FYI: The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm and 9am-1pm on Saturdays and access to the PO boxes is only available when they are open. Right now we are waiting on a package from the kids, but we do know that around the holidays, packages from the US can literally take months to get here, but… in our experience they always have.
Thanks for visiting, gentle reader. As you all know Bruce and Mary love comentarios on any and all subjects, so please feel free. Hasta proximo Domingo!
