Bienvenido, loyal reader. Please join Bruce and Mary as they once again explore the vast Puerto Vallarta hospitality scene. Provecho!
Mary is standing in front of Cafe San Angel, Fluvial on Av Los Tules a couple blocks east of the Av Francisco Villa intersection. The sister cafe of the same name is in the heart of Old Town on Olas Altas but the Cupocity coupon we bought is only good for this location, so… here we are!
Mary’s inner vegan is having a fit as she enjoys this really juicy cheeseburger. Actually, truth be told, I eat most of the patty, Mary has the rest which she finds quite tasty.
And this is my Black Forest Ham and Swiss Cheese baguette. I donate the top bun to Mary, breadie that she is, and get after this bad boy. I experiment with the different salsas starting on the left with a garlic aioli, then a spicy chipotle. Topping off the selections is a delectable creamy pesto salsa. I cannot pick a favorite, I like them all. BTW: The potato salad is a pleasant surprise.
It takes some doing but Mary talks me into starting with a carrot juice para compartir, to share, and it is amazingly good.I go for the Chistorra Omelet. I had considered the Chorizo but when I asked our server about Chistorra she said it is como Chorizo and when I pressed further she said she prefers Chistorra. So I end up with essentially a cocktail sausage omelette, but it still is pretty good and the home fried spuds are a plus.
Monserrat has been our lovely mesera, server. We have enjoyed our experiences here and will be back again as we just bought another coupon. Plus we love any excuse for visiting Fluvial, it is muy tranquilo.
Thanks for visiting, gentle reader. As you all know, Bruce and Mary love comentarios on any and all subjects so please feel free. Hasta proximo Domingo.
