Bienvenido loyal reader. Please join Bruce and Mary on a… beer run, naturally. And, as Bruce and Mary take their Old Town beer sourcing reports quite seriously, this is their story:
On the way back from the market a few weeks back we noticed this tiny licoreria, La Fuente on Calle Carranza, entre Naranjo y Camachin, so we stepped in to check prices. Whoa! These guys have by far the cheapest beer prices in Old Town. We had been regulars at Licoreria Pinto, owned by our friend Johanna. There, Pacifico, after a couple price increases, had been trading at 197P por carton, per case (24 bottles). Here it is only 184P! We’ll miss Johanna but 13P is 13P.
Besides the super cheap prices (well, relatively that is, compared to everything else in Mx, beer is way too expensive, for more on that click here) I really like how everything in this place is very clearly priced.
They have assorted chips and…
They have liquor as well but after checking prices, you are much better off at Vinos America.
Mary is checking out the cooler selections.
Thanks for visiting, gentle reader. Bruce and Mary would like to point out that Licoreria La Fuente has the cheapest beer prices… to their knowledge. So if any of you know better, please share, to the betterment of us all! Hasta proxima Domingo!
