Bienvenido loyal reader. Join Bruce and Mary as they visit their local optometrist, for Mary has decided she might want to see the cracks in the sidewalks in front of her. When Mary decided to get new glasses we knew this was the place. Why? Well, when the screw that holds the bow to the frame of my glasses fell out and was lost, Manuel, the proprietor here at Eye-Metric, Calle Madero, entre Calles Insurgentes y Aguacate, re-threaded the frame and inserted a new screw for all of… 10P.
And the testing continues, here in Centro. Manuel has escorted us to the office of Dra Monica, an ophthalmologist he is associated with. Because Mary is diabetic she needs to have periodic retinopathy tests and Manuel has included this at no extra charge.
But in the end, tacaños that we are, we ask Manuel if we can keep Mary’s old frames. He tells us that they are a little small for progressive lenses but he will see what he can do.
Here, Manuel is making sure that the reading part of the prescription is correct. It is spot on. Now it’s time to settle up. Manuel has supplied us with a new progressive lens prescription, lenses, ferried us downtown for retinopathy and glaucoma testing and has done all this for the base price of 1790P about $141USD. Que Bueno!!
So the least we can do is bring some treats. We tell Manuel to be sure to share with his gal Friday, Rosemary.
Thanks for visiting, gentle reader. Bruce and Mary recommend Eye-Metric highly. Not only is Manuel very competent, he is one heck of a nice man. BTW: Although he was kind enough to let us practice our Espanol, he is fluent in Ingles. Hasta proxima Domingo!
