V399 Condominiums

Bienvenido loyal reader. Please join Bruce and Mary as they party like it’s 1999, well actually V399, as in Condos, that is.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAlex Diaz, owner of Vistalegre (PV’s number one property rental firm) and Mary are at the entrance to V399 Condos on the corner of Calles I. Vallarta and M. Dieguez, just a block and a half from our place. Mary was down to pay the rent a few days ago and Alex invited us to his open house. I think it was the free beer and food that closed the deal.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe’re the first to arrive to this open house, which Alex is hosting in the rooftop commons of this luxury condo complex. Mary is saying, “Let’s get this party started!”

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABut first we take a tour of the amenities. Infinity Pools are so cool… but this one is heated!

This is one of several conversation nooks.

And here’s another. Cheers!

If we had known about the hot tub, we’d have brought our suits!

And now the food has arrived. Sergio, on the left, is serving up many mole treats. By far the most popular are the alitas mole, chicken wings cooked in mole sauce. Now I love wings, but I have never liked mole anything. But listening in on Sergio, proprietor of El Mole de Jovita, passionately describing his mother’s mole recipe as he is serving up, I am convinced to try some of the alitas, and… oh my! I went back three times.

And now the condo tours begin. This is #501, an available one bdrm unit. What fun it would be to live in such luxury.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnd a view of the master bath.

This is an available luxury studio, unit #509.

And here is the kitchen area.

During the tour we discover that Scott and Pablo are our neighbors across the street! They are a fun pair. They come down here every year from VA and used to drive it, but no more. It’s gotten a little too spooky, especially the part of the route that took them through Monterrey.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Time to get back to the party. Another Pacifico and some more of those alitas mole would go down just fine right now.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It’s a family affair. Here we are with Alex’s dad Gonzales who founded the firm, Alex’s sis Ana, their mom, also Ana, and Alex.

V399 Condominiums, luxury condos in a perfect location, for the discerning client. And the rooftop commons makes for a darn good party site!

Thanks for visiting, gentle reader. Bruce and Mary have heard that you can make better deals going directly to property owners for rentals and they tried that, when they landed here. It was not much fun as there was little mutual trust involved. Dealing with Alex and his team of pros has been an ongoing pleasure for Bruce and Mary. Oh, Alex would like it noted that his new website only shows vacation rentals, they are busy building the long term rental portion of the site, so, in the meantime please contact them directly about any long term rental needs.  And as usual, any comentarios are greatly appreciated. Hasta proxima Domingo!

About escapetomex

My wife Mary and I escaped to Mexico on February 15, 2008 with no plan other than to buy one way tickets to Merida, Mexico and see how long we could stick. We were too young (still too young) to retire and we didn't have any money (still don't) but we'd had it with corporate life and Minnesota winters so we took the fling and with much serendipity it has worked out fine. This blog is the continuing story of our adventure. I hope you enjoy it and please feel to contact me with any questions or insights.
